UFOU was established in 2018 as a designer furniture brand committed to quality, innovation and difference. The brand began with an observation: people of every age have different needs from the spaces they live and work in. UFOU set out to design furniture that balances aesthetics and functionality for all of them, from children doing homework to adults working from home.
The meaning of 优否
UFOU's Chinese name, 优否, reflects the Taoist idea of duality. 优 stands for the relentless pursuit of excellence, and 否 for introspection and self-examination. Together they express both high standards and an ongoing journey of self-improvement.

Made by UFOU
UFOU runs its own manufacturing: a 30,000 square metre metal fabrication facility in Changxing, Huzhou (Zhejiang), founded in 2019, and a 14,000 square metre soft seating and wood facility founded in 2017. Each has its own R&D, operations and production centres.

UFOU Australia brings the UPON, JOYIN, FITIN, KYBER and MK ranges to Australian homes, with showrooms in Clayton and Carrum Downs, Melbourne (by appointment).
